Corporate Philanthropy in Response to COVID-19
09/09/2020 @ 15:00 - 16:00
There are 1.6 million charities in the United States that together employ 10 percent of the nation’s workforce, benefit from the support of 63 million volunteers each year, and receive over $390 billion in charitable contributions from 175 million individual donors. Together, nonprofits report $2.54 trillion in annual revenues and $5.79 trillion in assets. In addition to doing so much good, the nonprofit sector is important to the national economy. The COVID-19 global pandemic is challenging and changing every aspect of American life, and the charitable sector is not exempt.
Join CEOs Ted Hart of CAF America, Carolyn Berkowitz of the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals (ACCP), and Mark Layden of CyberGrants for a panel discussion.
Hosted by Stacy Palmer, editor for The Chronicle of Philanthropy this September 9th at 3 pm ET to hear insights and distinct perspectives on corporate philanthropy during COVID-19.
The CEOs will discuss:
- The corporate philanthropic response to date
- What needs to be done to support the critical social sector in the United States
- Will the relationship between corporations and nonprofits change due to the pandemic
- Perspectives on the giving landscape and projections for 2021
