Creative Placemaking For Social Impact Virtual Symposium
30/11/2020 @ 08:30 - 02/12/2020 @ 12:30
The vision of the CPfSI research group is to examine the crucial role of arts, culture and place-based creativity in community recovery and resilience. Its purpose is to bring together researchers and practitioners from Creative Practice, Design, Communication and Health to collaborate on interdisciplinary research to co-create our shared futures.
2020 has been a year like no other, and we are excited to gather together in person and virtually to share ideas, experiences and hope. The COVID 19 pandemic has exposed a range of deficits in our current approaches to community connection and social wellbeing, and also presents opportunities to re-imagine the ways we share cultural experiences between communities and localities, and how we creatively shape our shared futures.
